National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2), located in Puertollano (Ciudad Real), arises from the need to promote hydrogen and fuel cells technologies, which provides research and development services to the entire national and international scientific and technological community.
Units of Scientific Culture and Innovation (UCC+i) are today one of the main actors in the dissemination and popularization of science and innovation in Spain and they are a key service for improving and increasing training, culture and citizens scientific knowledge.
According to the need for knowledge, to improve and increase training, culture and scientific and technological knowledge and creativity in the whole of Spanish society, and to diffuse hydrogen technologies, in 2012 the opportunity of belonging to the UCC+I Network was presented, creating the UCC+i-CNH2 by Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
The main goal marked by CNH2 is to contribute to the approach of science, technology and innovation to the public, closing the gap between scientific and technological world and society in general.
Whether the consolidation of CNH2 as Scientific Culture Unit will facilitate the dissemination and outreach of these R&D&I technologies and the scientific and technological development projects, planning different activities and analyzing the results of them.
