Dissemination Activity which allows you to know how hydrogen and fuel cells technologies work and manufacture your own fuel cell in the FabLab Laboratory of the CNH2
The “Senda del Hidrógeno” is a dissemination activity which consists of an educational itinerary that allows introducing the hydrogen and fuel cells technologies through an educational tour for the Centro Nacional del Hidrógeno (CNH2) facilities in Puertollano (Ciudad Real)
The main objectives of this educational tour are:
The “Senda del Hidrógeno” Areas
A – Training Area
In this area, we perform a presentation of the CNH2, its objectives and functions. We also present the basic concepts related to the hydrogen and the energy, production and storage of hydrogen, the fuel cells and their applications or the hydrogen security in order to understand the rest of activities.
B – Interaction with Technologies Area
This area allows a greater contact and interaction with the technologies. This zone has six workstations related to the hydrogen and fuel cells technologies, composed by physical and experimental demonstrators, as well as touch screens with information and interactive games for the use of the visitor.
C – Application and Museum Area.
In this section the visitors can see, handle and manipulate applications for the production of electricity from a combination of renewable energies and hydrogen and fuel cells technologies, such as a home electricity supply, toy car powered by hydrogen or a Scalextric that works with a fuel cell. Furthermore, along this tour, different equipment and real components are showed in order to deep into the details of the rest of activities.
Development of a cycle of conferences called “Experiences on Hydrogen Technologies”, throughout the year, various conferences with the participation of Scientifics and Researchers of other research centers are held.
The main objective of this activity is to show the experience in R&D of the hydrogen applications of researchers belong to other research centers, with the intention of learning the techniques and different alternatives that they perform in their job centers as well as promoting the scientific vocations and sparking the curiosity and the interest of the students who participate.
In 2017, the conferences, which have taken place in the CNH2, have been:
The objective of all the activities that are developed within the Science Week 2017 is to bring closer to students of all ages the hydrogen and fuel cells science and technologies, not well known among the students, explaining different applications of these technologies.
The CNH2 will organize days where students from schools and high schools of any city will be received which previously booked an appointment. This activity will take place between 13 to 17 November 2017.
The different areas, which are part of the Science Week 2017 itinerary, are:

With the intention of disseminating and educating all sectors of society in terms of science and technology of hydrogen and fuel cells, the CNH2 organizes in its facilities the development of Open Days, oriented to any segment of the population that not familiar with these technologies.
The aim is to show the activities developed in the CNH2 and the technologies to get as many people as possible, from elementary students begin to understand the different types of energy to neighborhood associations, cultural centers or other opinion who are interested in acquiring new knowledge.
